Artificial Intelligence (AI), as an important branch of computer science, was formally proposed by McCarthy at the Dartmouth Society in 1956 and is currently known as one of the world’s three cutting-edge technologies.

The 50s to early 60s of the 20th century were the initial stages of the development of artificial intelligence. Research during this period focused on the use of heuristics and the application of domain knowledge, including the writing of computer programs that were able to prove the theorems of plane geometry and play chess with chess masters. It was in 1956 that McCarthy decided to name the Dartmouth conference after artificial intelligence. In Alan Turing’s “Computing Machinery and Intelligence”, he discussed the possibility of mechanization of human intelligence and proposed a theoretical model of Turing machines, which laid a theoretical foundation for the emergence of modern computers.
